“I took up teaching as my profession out of interest and served for 25 years as a teacher in a school. Teaching was something I liked doing, but things in my life changed drastically in a span of a few months.
My world collapsed when I lost my husband in February 2012. It was difficult for me to concentrate on anything. The school authorities asked me to take a break and re-join, but I couldn't cope well with my husband's loss. I felt everything slipping off my hands, I wasn't able to divert my mind from the current circumstance and one fine day, I decided to resign.
I was at home for 8-9 months, took a really long time to come out of the loss and accept the truth. But I was sure this time to come back stronger, complete my husband's goals as he had intended and guess what I was successful in achieving that.
I went for DMIT (Demographics Multiple Intelligence Test) in 2012 and since then my new journey began. I joined one of the classes in Ahmedabad and started teaching the students there. In 2018, I also took up IELTS (International English Language Testing System) coaching that's the Midbrain activation course. Unfortunately, the class had to shut down due to COVID. Nevertheless, I started private coaching at home and conducted online classes for various courses.
Apart from being a teacher, I have been a co-founder of the company Trekking Eye for 15 years. Organising tours is the most beautiful thing I love about my job as it allows me to stay close to nature and encourage people to experience nature & educate them to take care of it.
In all these years of ups and downs, I have learnt that change is natural and accepting it should also be natural. Now, one of my goals in life is to work until my last day and surely the word retirement is not in my dictionary.” Jayshreeba Manmohandinh Gohil (Khyaal Community Member)
Very Good idea for Senior Citizens, showing them places of interest. But one aspect that deters me is:1. I am a heart PATIENT, as also Asthmatic and aged 80 years and 5 months. I an a widower, no wife, no daughter in law, no son. All expired between 2016 and 2019. I am old but young at heart!!!
Keep me in mind though!!
